Cold beer, limited service, packaged food and wine selection was horrible. Don't eat the fried pickles. Gunky batter on dill spears.

The rudest, worst service I have ever received at any restaurant in the world. One hour waiting for food and when we asked how much longer it would be, were basically told to "get lost, it will be out when it's out".

Typical bar that has friendly staff and good beer specials. Good for bikers.

This is your basic bar with $3.00 beers. I gave it 5 stars for one reason, it's dog friendly!!! Yep, you can drink a cold one right in the bar with your dog and he/she doesn't even need to be on a leash....love it!

Tim and wife Dondi own Timbers steakhouse and are celebrating a year of owning Bull o the Woods. The staff of the bar on a crowded Memorial Day weekend have been incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a big biker rally going on and the bar is the hangout for the Bandito's motorcycle club aka gang. The music has been rocking and the only trouble makers have been non-Banditos. These guys are the real deal. Yep, pretty nice outlaws as long as you don't piss them off. Outdoor seating on the Main drag.

Bull of the Woods No service Kitchen so slow can't wait. Heading back to Taos after 1 ++ Hour wait for order to arrive. Focus on Bar Service that was friendly and Fast. Looks like a 3 hour lunch if we stayed.

Had an amazing spring break vacation here with my boyfriend. We played shuffle board with some strangers and even though they dont know what an IPA is, the ale I got was just as good. So possibly they just didnt want me to have an IPA. ;)

Waited over an hour for a poor boy and Philly steak. Seemed others were served ahead of us. Their excuse was our grill is small. Almost ready to leave

Ate lunch here while in Red River. I had the buffalo wings which were pretty good. My buddies had the burgers. They were cooked to perfection, served with home-made french fries and plenty big! It's self serve but they do bus your table. Beer is a little on the high side, but it is a bar. Overall, not a bad place to gather.

Great vibe. Don't pass up the Green Chili Cheeseburger, or Fish Tacos. Rosa, Rick, and Chelsea are great hosts.

WARNING: after reading this, if you still consume food at "Bull O' the Woods Saloon" you are doing so at risk to YOUR HEALTH!!! I write two types of Yelp reviews: 1) to alert people to great places, 2) as a public health service announcement to save people from endangering themselves at bad places. Bull O' the Woods Saloon falls within the realm of endangering your health. It is New Mexico, but you would think that the public health department would at the very least make Bull O' the Woods Saloon spray down the facility with pressure washers and a ton of bleach. I came around from the side and sat outside, if I had realized how filthy the whole place was, I would never even had a beer in this hell hole. Ordered the Philly Bud Cheese Steak, advertised as "Seasoned beef, cheese, onions and peppers on a hoagie roll and fresh cut fries" - reality of what showed up 45 minutes after ordering (with a sourpuss reply by the staff that they had other orders), was: - a hoagie roll cut in half lengthwise, so everything fell out the bottom. - the "seasoned beef" was a pan fried frozen hamburger patty, soaked in its fried fat, chopped up with some Provolone cheese on top and a few pieces of green pepper - zero onion - fries that tasted stale This is a "Philly Cheese Steak"??? What the hell, you can buy the meat frozen and microwave - it still would taste better than a pan fried frozen hamburger patty thats been chopped up. Look at the photo - its disgusting. I've eaten street food in rural third world countries, which most likely was bush meat, but still tasted better and felt safer than eating this crap. My advise would be to take the "cooks" out back and force feed them their own food for a few days - they will surely die from it. Then tar & feather the "owners" and tie them up to a tree trunk on the mountainside overlooking Red River - as a warning to other "business people" not to fleece and endanger the general public. In all seriousness, I'm surprised these clowns have not killed anyone yet. Out of three people having lunch there, two got sick the next day. Not to mention that the was one bartender trying to serve the full room - this at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in the hight of the summer tourist season! The line for a drink was 6 to 10 people deep. Nor can the "food" window take cards, they have to clear that through the bar. The 45 minutes or more to get your food - considering it is poorly executed short order grill food that takes no time to prepare - is beyond comprehension. The proprietors and cooks must be certifiable idiots. Trust me, go elsewhere or bring food with you to Red River. This is one of the 5 worst meals I have ever had in my life - and I've visited some questionable regions.

I used to be a big fan of this place. We would go anytime we were in Red River, which is one of our favorite vacation spots in NM. They had a legendary Chicago style pizza. The owners had Chicago Bears gear up and were friendly. So we arrived this time and you have to walk up to the bar to get drinks (including self serve water) and walk up to the grill to order. All the Bears gear was gone too. I should have taken that as a sign and left. New ownership? I didn't stick around to ask. Our pizza was $14...mainly cheese...and disappointing. So was the establishment. While it wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, it was a far cry from what they used to have. It was edible...but barely. We left more than 1/2. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

One of our all time favorite places to come to when we are in Red River! Great service and great food! We love the bartender Chris! Great Bloody Mary's! Always come back when in town!

Unexpected pleasure & it's not expensive ($5 for a loaded Nathan's 'dog with fries). Very friendly people & interesting, tasty food. I'm not a drinker, but they had plenty on tap. Also, a few pool tables, indoor & outdoor seating, a handful of flatscreen TV's, & a stage for local bands. You could spend a whole evening & keep yourself & some buds entertained.

Pretty chill small-town bar. We were there on their big Mardi Gras weekend, so the place was packed but we still found a place to sit and got friendly, decent service. I got a pizza, and the pineapples had gone sour- otherwise, the food was good. The cook came out and apologized and said they'd had someone quit the day before, so I surmised it must have been that dude's fault...scapegoat! Nice stage, good band, and a fun crowd.

If you are planning a trip to Red River then you have to visit this saloon. Right on the main road, complete with swinging saloon doors, wood floors, and friendly staff this is the place to spend your friday and saturday night. Or hell just do like I did and basically spend your whole weekend there! They had a live band on Saturday, which I think is pretty normal, they played everything from classic country to michael jackson & they were awesome! Theres a dance floor inside and a large patio area with a stage and picnic tables outside. If you go you have to try a water moccasin, ask for Eddie to make you one. He's the best! I will definitely be gracing this place with my presence again : ) p.s. did i mention that dogs are allowed? well, dogs are allowed. how cool is that!?

This was a cool bar we went to after skiing Red River Ski Resort. Great Day...great skiing, great weather, great people, great beers...even better people in the bar, screaming and yelling at the Broncos game. One dude we were concerned about...thought he was having a Tebow attack!! Thanks to all the customers and Staff for a fun 4th quarter!

Astonishing inappropriate service from a small town bar tenders, holds back a fun place with great taps. I would specifically avoid nights when a local named rooster, fluffs his feathers and runs the show. He makes a point to give outsiders an unwanted environment. His mood is reflected on his drink pores and graciously added bar tab. If you want to get a some good drinks and have a fun time, go somewhere else.

Usually a good bar to chill at after skiing. However, we spent New Year's Eve here and it was awesome with The Damn Band playing, went back today and the girls bathroom was crummy. One stall for was completely missing the door and the other didn't close all the way.
